Customer / Credit Risk Management

Managing credit exposure to financial institutions and other counterparties worldwide is a key part of Mastercard’s evolving and quickly growing business model. The principal responsibility of the role, as the first line of defence, consists in managing Mastercard’s Customer Risk Management (“CRM”) function.

Senior Specialist, Product Management

We are looking for an experienced analyst within the Operational Insights Program Global Product Management team to play a key role in supporting commercialization/go-to-market strategy for its products. This person will support the product enablement team, bridging customer-specific initiatives with the larger business expansion. This person will drive key activities including conducting data analysis for go-to-market activities, e.g., price modeling, revenue analysis, KPI analysis and reporting etc.

Manager, Global Product Management 

We are looking for a Manager within the Operational Insights (OI) Program Global Product Management team to support the commercialization/go-to-market strategy for its products. This person will drive strategy and execution for new solutions. This individual will partner closely with other members of the Global Product Management technical team to ensure product strategy, roadmap and vision is aligned with the go-to-market strategy and product business priorities.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Customer / Credit Risk Management

  • Owning all CRM-related matters for the portfolio under the role’s responsibility;
  • Managing through impacts of customer failures including portfolio transfers and license termination;
  • Coordinating application process of new customers to ensure onboarding in a timely manner;
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and risk screening via early warning indicators
  • Developing risk management solutions for new products, e.g., crypto

 

Senior Specialist, Product Management 

  • Support product enablement effort, maximizing customer retention and driving increased penetration
  • Synthesize customer data and input to expand Operational Insights business
  • Act as an expert, advocate, and champion for OI program products
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams for product sales, usage, and continuous product enhancement
  • Effectively communicate data insights and their relevance to the business context
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals

 

Manager, Global Product Management 

  • Act as an expert, advocate, and champion for OI program products
  • Identify white space opportunities for Operational Insights and relevant new solutions
  • Create data strategy to enable new solutions capturing current and future network data streams
  • Drive the product business strategy including customer segmentation, pricing, sales and marketing strategy
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Customer / Credit Risk Management

  • Undergraduate / Graduate degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent;
  • Risk mindset: ability to think outside the box and identify potential sources of risk;
  • Problem solving: ability to develop innovative solutions to manage/ address credit risk;
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint user;
  • Crisis management: ability to manage through a crisis under time pressure and make tough decisions with imperfect information.

 

Senior Specialist, Product Management 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant experience
  • Highly experienced in conducting data analysis to support commercial activities of a product business
  • Strong experience with analytical solutions designed for payments or a related financial services sectors preferred
  • Well-versed in Excel, Python, Hadoop, Tableau, and related analytics tools and experience running analysis on large datasets

 

Manager, Global Product Management 

  • Outstanding stakeholder and customer management ability; strong ability to manage customer inquiries and foster relationships
  • Analytical, solutions-oriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership; strong data management skillset
  • Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of the Mastercard products & services and key revenue drivers
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant experience; MBA a plus
